A two day theory and practical course designed for outdoor instructors and for those who take part in outdoor pursuits. The course fulfils the requirements of the major outdoor National Governing Bodies e.g. MLTB UK, BCU and RYA. This course is delivered by outdoor professional people for outdoor people.

  • Incident management
  • The unconscious casualty
  • Airway management
  • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Control of Blood loss & dressing of wounds
  • Recognition, cause and treatment of Shock
  • Bone Muscle and soft tissue injuries
  • Lower limb injuries
  • Choking and Asthma
  • Diabetes, seizures and Severe Allergic Reaction
  • Burns and scalds (Including blisters)
  • Bites and stings
  • Heart conditions – heart  attack and Angina Pectoris
  • Head injuries and Stroke
  • Spinal management
  • The drowning casualty
  • Hypothermia
  • Heat Exhaustion Heat Stroke
  • Outdoor Incident management scenarios (4+ hours minimum)

Group Booking £960 minimum of 8 delegates maximum 12 delegates)

Assessment

Delegates will be assessed via practical observations on the last day of the course.
